Finance & Administration Officer

Three Bridges Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a growing technology business to recruit a Finance & Administration Officer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, close-knit team where you'll become the central point of contact for finance and office operations. The role offers an excellent blend of bookkeeping, payroll support, office management and administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in keeping a business running smoothly.

Working closely with the Managing Director and wider leadership team, you'll have the autonomy to take ownership of your workload while helping improve processes and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Job

The role of Finance & Administration Officer will give you the opportunity to:

  • Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration of the business
  • Process purchase and sales invoices, supplier payments and customer receipts
  • Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records using Xero
  • Assist with budgeting, financial reporting and month-end activities
  • Process payroll and employee expenses
  • Support pension administration and payroll-related processes
  • Maintain customer and supplier records across business systems
  • Assist with credit control and accounts payable activities
  • Coordinate office administration, meetings and general facilities management
  • Support onboarding, HR administration and health & safety processes
  • Help identify opportunities to improve finance systems and automate manual processes
  • Provide excellent support to colleagues, customers and suppliers

As Finance & Administration Officer, you will ideally possess the following:

  • Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper, Office Manager or Finance & Administration role
  • Strong bookkeeping and transactional finance experience
  • Good working knowledge of Xero or similar accounting software
  • Experience supporting payroll processes
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload independently
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Confident communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
  • Comfortable working within a small business where flexibility and teamwork are important
  • Ability to take ownership, use initiative and see tasks through to completion
  • Experience supporting office management or HR administration would be advantageous
