Global Fire and Security Systems are an independent company established in Nottingham since 1999. We have since developed into market leaders in providing quality product solutions throughout the fire and security marketplace nationwide.

Thanks to a combined wealth of knowledge and experience between our directors, Global have become industry experts in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire safety, fire suppression and security systems.

Due to continued growth and market development, we are now seeking to appoint a Finance Administrator, to be based at our Head office in Nottingham, at the prestigious NG2 Business Park.

Job Purpose:

To provide accurate and efficient purchase ledger and administrative support, ensuring supplier accounts, invoices and employee expenses are processed correctly and on time.

Key Accountabilities

  • Print and check supplier statements against our ledgers - requesting copy invoices where required and deal with any queries that might occur with the suppliers
  • Printing purchase ledger invoices and checking them against the relevant purchase order and process them on to the ledger
  • Check submitted expenses using our in-house software, coding the receipts and raising a payment schedule ready for payment
  • Categorize and allocate all incoming emails to the relevant member of the team
  • Ensure the outgoing post is franked and made available for collection
  • Action any sales enquiries and supply only orders that are received from our customers
  • Answer incoming telephone calls
  • Action any other tasks requested to ensure the smooth running of the department

About You

  • Ideally, some experience of working within a Purchase Ledger/Finance environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, including Pivot Tables but training is available
  • Previous experience of using SharePoint would be an advantage but training is available
  • Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
  • Comfortable taking and receiving phone calls
  • Some experience of using Sage 50 Accounts would be advantageous - although training will be given for the right candidate
