Admin Role - Summary of Hiring Requirements
Role Overview
Administrative role within the Finance team with a broad range of tasks that require attention to detail and problem-solving. Minimal phone work. Most communication is handled through email and internal portals, rather than a call centre environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling:
- Food queries
- Non-food queries
- Finance Centre (FC) queries
- Supplier queries
- Colleague expense queries
- Working with invoices, credits, and understanding how finance processes operate.
- Liaising with both suppliers and colleagues.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Previous experience in retail or finance environments ideally.
- Strong IT skills and ability to work across multiple systems.
- Good communication skills, particularly written communication.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and solution-focused mindset.

Looking to recruit 2 people immediately. Hybrid working pattern:
Previous permanent recruitment campaign was unsuccessful. 7 candidates were interviewed, but the quality was below expectations. Many entry-level candidates did not prepare adequately. Candidates often failed to fully answer competency questions or provide sufficient detail and examples. Interview responses generally scored well below the expected benchmark.

Interview Process
- CV submission for COB Tuesday
- Interviews Friday 25th September, running between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
- Sarah will be involved in the interview process.

Candidates should be able to:

- Clearly explain their actions, thought processes, and outcomes.
- Demonstrate accuracy, ownership, and effective problem-solving.
- Show an understanding of finance administration processes, particularly around invoices, credits, expenses, and supplier interactions.
