Fixed-Term Contract - 6 Months (35 hours per week)
Are you an organised and detail-focused finance professional who enjoys problem-solving and delivering excellent customer service? We're looking for a Finance Administrator to join our Finance Team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our financial processes.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with finance administration experience who is looking to further develop their skills within a busy and supportive team. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, taking ownership of financial queries, maintaining accurate records, and helping ensure our financial transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll support a wide range of finance activities, including:
- Managing and responding to finance queries through the team mailbox.
- Processing purchase, sales and rent ledger transactions.
- Maintaining supplier accounts and processing invoices and payments.
- Supporting day-to-day banking activities and cashflow monitoring.
- Completing ledger and supplier reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting data analysis.
- Assisting with period-end, year-end and audit activities.
- Supporting credit control activities, including issuing statements and following up outstanding balances.
- Building positive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
- Providing general administrative support to the wider Finance Team.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a finance administration role within a busy finance environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when processing financial data.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and SharePoint.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and resolve financial queries.
- The confidence to communicate professionally with colleagues, customers, suppliers and external partners.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- A proactive approach, taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion.

Desirable
- AAT qualification or working towards one.
- Experience of working with Civica Financials would be advantageous; however, training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of finance policies, procedures or social housing finance.
