Role: Finance Administrator

Location: St Nicholas C of E Primary School

Salary: Band F (7-11) – Actual Pro-rata range of £24022 to £25605

Hours: 37

Working weeks: 40 (TTO plus INSET plus 1 week)

Days a week: 5

Closing date: Monday 28th September 2026

Anticipated start date: Monday 2nd November 2026

Contract Type: Permanent

St Nicholas C of E Primary School is looking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and committed Finance Administrator as part of its enthusiastic and dedicated team.

You will be working as part of a small, friendly administrative team where no two days are the same. Working closely with our Headteacher, Office Manager and the MAT Central Team, the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic quick learner with excellent numerical, communication, and administrative skills. They should be able to work independently whilst at the same time forming effective relationships with stakeholders. Experience in a finance/ admin role and knowledge of financial/ administrative procedures would be an advantage, however training will be given.

As this role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check with a Barred List check. Our pre-employment process will also include Teacher Prohibition List checks, overseas checks (where applicable); proof of qualifications (as specified in the person specification); section 128 checks (for those in management roles); medical fitness checks; identity and right to work checks. Applicants for roles working with children under five years during the school day and under eight years for those working in wraparound care will also be subject to Childcare Disqualification checks.
