At St James's CE Primary School, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-focused Finance & Data Administration Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong administrative and financial skills to play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of our school.

About The Role

Working under the direction of the School Business Manager, you will provide efficient finance, pupil data and administrative support, ensuring that school systems and records are maintained accurately and professionally. You will help support key areas including pupil admissions and transitions, school finance processes, statutory data returns and communication with families and external agencies.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience of office administration and maintaining accurate records.
  • Has experience of financial administration, including processing payments, income and invoices.
  • Can organise and prioritise a varied workload whilst meeting deadlines.
  • Has excellent attention to detail and can identify missing or inconsistent information.
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Can work professionally with staff, pupils, families and external agencies.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–4:00pm, Friday: 8:00am–3:30pm. 37 hours per week with 30 minute unpaid lunch break. Term time plus 5 inset days

Grade: Grade 4, SCP 5 - 6 (£25,583 - £25,989 per annum, actual salary £22,083 - £22,434 per annum)

Location: St James's C of E Primary School, Kingsway, Wollaston, West Midlands, DY8 4RU
