Finance Administrator & Credit Controller
Templeton & Partners is looking for a Finance Administrator & Credit Controller to support our Finance Director and wider finance function across day-to-day accounting, contractor finance administration and credit control.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is organised, confident speaking with clients and comfortable taking ownership of outstanding payments rather than simply sending reminders.
You will support the smooth running of our finance operations while building strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure invoices can be raised accurately, payments are received on time and any issues are resolved quickly.
What you'll be doing:
Finance Administration
- Support the Finance Director and wider finance team with day-to-day accounting and administrative activities.
- Process contractor invoices, expenses, timesheets and supporting financial documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate accounting records using Xero and associated finance systems.
- Support KPI reporting, sales statistics and management reporting.
- Handle confidential financial and commercial information appropriately.
- Raise monthly rent invoices and proactively follow up to ensure payment is received on time.
- Maintain clear records and ensure finance information is accurate, organised and up to date.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ll be someone who combines strong attention to detail with the confidence to pick up the phone, build relationships and have sometimes challenging conversations around payment.
