Finance Administrator – 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: Southport

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract

Bloomcare is looking for an organised and motivated Finance Administrator to join our Finance team based in Southport on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day running of our finance function across Bloomcare. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation and our external suppliers, helping to ensure invoices, payments, queries and financial records are dealt with accurately and on time.

We’re looking for someone with previous finance or accounts experience who has a good eye for detail, enjoys working in a busy environment and is keen to build on their finance experience.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing the Finance email inbox and incoming post
  • Responding to finance queries from colleagues and suppliers
  • Processing purchase invoices, credit notes and supplier statements
  • Assisting with supplier account reconciliations
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve invoice and payment queries
  • Assisting with supplier payment runs
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
  • Updating internal finance trackers and spreadsheets
  • Supporting the Finance team with month-end activities
  • Preparing documentation and information for audits
  • Providing general administrative support across the Finance team

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience within finance, accounts or a similar administrative role
  • Good Excel skills
  • Experience using accounting software – Sage 50 experience would be an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines
  • Confidence communicating with colleagues and external suppliers
  • Experience using a Purchase Order system would be advantageous
  • AAT Level 2 or 3 would be preferred, but isn’t essential
