Finance Reinvention Partner (Platform Transformation)
Career level: Senior Manager (CL6) | Location: London / Manchester / Edinburgh
Why this role
The major ERP platforms embed AI end to end, and the conversation with finance leaders is moving from what the system records to what it can decide, draft and settle on its own. The design questions underneath are the hard part: what an agent is allowed to do to a journal, where the control sits, what a close looks like when exceptions are the only thing a person touches. You would answer those questions for our clients, on the large-scale, business-led finance platform transformations the practice delivers. You'll build a credible point of view on agentic and autonomous ERP for finance and take it to CFOs, finance directors, CIOs, CTOs and programme leadership as something they can buy. Alongside our Platforms leadership you'll build the offering behind it, set the standard others deliver to, and own the finance design where AI meets the ledger and has to hold up in audit.
Accenture is a leading solutions and services company. Our strategy is to be the reinvention partner of choice for our clients and lead in the safe, widespread adoption of AI. We bring together our people, deep industry expertise and technology to deliver end-to-end outcomes for clients — and Finance is one of seven Reinvention Partners at the centre of that. Finance RP brings the CFO agenda to life for clients — stronger performance, sharper insight, and better control.
"As AI reshapes every industry, our clients want a partner that can help them reinvent—boldly, continuously and at speed. Our Reinvention Services leaders bring together the full breadth of Accenture to create solutions to our clients' most complex problems and deliver more value faster, while continuously building the most client-focused, AI-enabled great place to work for our people—our Reinventors." — Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO
What You'll Bring
Designing AI into finance on ERP
You've designed and delivered enterprise AI inside finance and ERP transformation, taking solutions into live operation and keeping them there. You know the AI layer of at least one major ERP ecosystem as an architect rather than a user: the copilots, the agent runtimes, the platform services agents are built on, and what each of them can and can't yet do. You design agentic workflows for finance processes, deciding what runs autonomously, what runs by exception, and where a person keeps the decision. You set the governance, traceability and controls that make the output defensible to a finance function and to an auditor. You know what it takes to move something from a convincing demonstration to governed production, because that is where this work stalls. You also know where AI can sit in a platform's architecture without compromising a clean core.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Finance and ERP depth
You bring real finance design expertise on a major enterprise finance platform, whether SAP S/4HANA Finance, Oracle Cloud ERP or comparable, and across the finance spine an agent has to operate inside: the general ledger and the subledgers, period-end close and consolidation, intercompany, management and statutory reporting, finance master data, and controls by design. You own the question an agentic design turns on: what the agent should do with the journal entry. You can hold the conversation with a CFO or a controller about what the numbers mean, and what would have to be true for them to trust a machine to produce them. The platform matters less than the judgement you bring.
Shaping and winning the work
You originate the work as well as deliver it. You build relationships with finance and technology leaders, spot where AI changes the economics of a finance process, and turn that into a proposition a client will buy. You run the client workshops, build and give the demonstrations, stand up the proofs of concept, and shape the deal behind them, making the value case in CFO language rather than technology language. You form a point of view, publish and speak it, and use it to open doors.
Leading the delivery
You run the work in front of the client self-sufficiently, from discovery and architecture through build, testing and deployment, and into the run. You act as the finance design authority, holding the solution to finance's requirements for control, reconciliation and auditability while directing the functional, technical, data and change workstreams around you. You lead senior client forums and design authorities, make the calls that keep a design coherent under pressure, and coach and develop the people who deliver it.
How we work
We're increasingly an AI-first delivery team, bringing agentic tooling and orchestration into how we design, analyse and deliver, with our people owning the judgement and the outcome. You'll work that way and raise the bar for how the team around you does, with the reusable patterns and accelerators that make it repeatable beyond you.
Who You Are
You bring a senior finance transformation career, typically 10+ years. The most recent two or more have been spent in AI, with delivered work behind you, not experiments. Most of all, you work the seams: what an ERP vendor's embedded AI can do, what the data layer can do, what frontier models can do, and which of them belongs where in a finance design. You have made those calls and can defend them. You're a strong client-facing consultant who can hold a room of CFOs, controllers, architects and engineers at once, and explain a technical call to all of them without losing any. You bring commercial instinct and sound judgement under pressure, and you develop the people around you.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
You understand how a finance function joins up end to end: where one process hands to the next, where a module boundary is crossed, where an agent's action in one place lands in another. That integration view is what makes an agentic design hold across the whole function.
The two essentials are finance depth and the ability to create demand as well as meet it. On the AI side we want someone already on this path: agentic finance work taken into production, or credibly on its way there, with the evaluation and controls to show it holds up.
Things that set strong candidates apart: a track record delivering finance transformation end to end; named platform AI experience on either side of the market — SAP Business AI, Joule, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) or AI Foundation, or Oracle Fusion AI & Agents and Oracle Integration Cloud; working fluency in the engineering underneath, enough to direct and challenge a build without needing to be the one writing it; published or presented points of view on AI in finance; relevant platform, cloud or AI certifications; and a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, or equivalent industry experience.
If you have most of this and the drive to build the rest, we want to hear from you. Tell us what you'd bring.
