Finance Analyst
A growing international fashion retailer is looking for a Finance Analyst to join its London finance team. With a strong presence across stores and online, the business has ambitious plans for its European operations and is investing in how finance supports that growth.
This is a broad, hands-on role combining management accounting, forecasting, business partnering and commercial cost management. You’ll take ownership of the numbers for functions including marketing and stores, while working directly with budget holders and senior leaders to understand spend, challenge decisions and improve efficiency.
What will you be doing?
- Owning month-end accounting for brand costs, including journals, accruals, balance sheet work and P&L commentary
- Partnering budget holders across marketing, studio and retail operations, reviewing spend and challenging where appropriate
- Preparing monthly forecasts and supporting the annual budgeting process
- Presenting performance and key variances to senior stakeholders, turning the numbers into clear, useful insight
- Managing head office payroll budgets, including headcount, pay changes and variance analysis
- Building KPIs and analysis to help teams understand the impact and efficiency of their activities
- Improving reporting and processes, including exploring how AI can make information more useful for budget holders

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
