Based in Manchester, this permanent full-time role gives you the opportunity to play a key part in financial analysis that supports Group Functions and Manchester City Operations across the club's football and entertainment businesses. You will help turn data into clear insight, supporting decision making across Finance, Technology, People Services, Legal, Communications and Operations.

Who We Are

Founded in 2013, City Football Group is the world’s leading private owner and operator of football clubs, with teams across the globe connected by a shared belief in doing things differently. Alongside our clubs, we invest in football-related businesses and build partnerships that help the game, and the communities around it, thrive. Everything we do is guided by our purpose: empowering better lives through football. Rooted in more than a century of “City” football, we are proud of the role our clubs play locally and globally, creating positive impact on and off the pitch.

Within our Finance team, we support the business with timely insight, robust analysis and clear reporting that helps colleagues make informed decisions. The Role

That will include analysis of group function costs, facilities maintenance, utilities and business rates, as well as supporting presentations that summarise complex data in a meaningful way.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
