Finance Analyst - 12 Month Fixed Term

This is a 12-month fixed term Finance Analyst role for a business in central Leicester, suitable for a part-qualified candidate with prior experience working in an Analytical role with large data sets.

Client Details

My client is a large and highly respected organisation based in central Leicester offering 3 days home working per week.

Description

The Finance Analyst's duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Analyse large volumes of billing data.
  • Produce detailed cost, consumption and trend analysis at scheme and portfolio level.
  • Develop robust forecasting models and support annual budgeting processes.
  • Investigate billing anomalies, data discrepancies and cost recovery opportunities.
  • Improve master data, meter records and supplier information.
  • Support procurement activity through financial analysis and consumption reporting.
  • Provide meaningful insights and recommendations to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, financial control enhancements and wider utility-focused projects.

Profile

  • Hold a part qualification in ACA/ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Previous experience within a Finance Analyst, Commercial Analyst or Management Accounting role.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query and large dataset analysis.
  • Experience investigating financial variances and identifying root causes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
