About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically minded Finance Analyst to join our team in a hybrid working capacity. Based within a comfortable commuting distance of Leicestershire, Melton Mowbray, Stamford, Corby, and Peterborough, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading data analysis and senior leadership reporting. This position offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to work from home up to two days per week, providing a healthy work-life balance.

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting financial data to senior management, helping to deliver actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. The role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, strong Excel capabilities, and proficiency in SAP. The successful candidate will work closely with non-finance departments to ensure accurate data collection and reliable reporting, contributing to the company's financial health and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Applications are welcome from candidates with a variety of qualification backgrounds, including both graduates and part-qualified finance professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Excel is essential, along with experience using SAP or similar ERP systems. Strong communication skills are vital for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting complex data in a clear, concise manner.

While professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA are advantageous, they are not mandatory. The company values a proactive attitude, a desire to learn and grow, and a passion for financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret financial data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports and presentations to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with non-finance departments to collect relevant data and ensure accuracy.
  • Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models and forecasts.
  • Support ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as required by senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement processes within the finance team.
