Role Overview

This role is for a 12-month fixed term contract, with a conversion to permanent at the end of the initial tenure, and is based three days/week in Solihull offices.

Company Information

We are pleased to be supporting a fantastic business based in Solihull, West Midlands, in their search for a bright Finance Analyst with excellent data skills. This role will be integral to supporting the FP&A and finance transformation activities of a group going through substantial change, and with an aggressive growth strategy laid out for the next five years.

Responsibilities

This position will see you supporting a Head of FP&A and Finance Director with managing multiple workstreams and initiatives. You'll be managing, interrogating, and analysing huge data sets to assess financial and operational performance against budgeted targets, and advise finance operations on the best strategy forward to achieve various initiatives.

Role Details

The role is malleable and will change in line with the company's ongoing transformation activities, so this is truly an exciting opportunity for a data-led analyst with an ambition to support a commercial finance/FP&A function to make a real difference.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent Excel skills, to a standard of at least v/h lookups, pivot tables, and SUMIFs/COUNTIFs.
  • (Preferable, not essential) Have experience with macros, SQL, and/or VBA.
  • Be able to manage and manipulate extremely large data sets.
  • Have experience juggling multiple workstreams and the ability to multitask.
  • Be a creative and logical thinker, able to bring their own approach to the role and improve procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

This position would suit someone early in their ACCA or CIMA studies looking to progress, though candidates without any finance qualifications will also be considered if their experience is relevant.

Compensation

This position is paying £30,000 to £35,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications) plus large company benefits, including flexible working and bonus.
