Finance Analyst
London | 5 days in office | Up to £50,000 (DOE)
A growing real estate business is looking for a Finance Analyst to join its strategic finance team. The role reports to the Associate Director and covers investment analysis, development appraisals, portfolio valuations, and asset management reporting.
The business is building out its investment and valuations capability as it grows, so this role will help shape how those functions are set up. It suits someone from a real estate, investment, or development background who is comfortable working with financial models and wants a hands-on analytical role. An accounting background is not required.
Responsibilities
- Update and maintain development appraisal models across multiple projects, working with other departments to keep project information accurate.
- Track live development costs against monthly budgets and report on ROI throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the move from self-funded developments to third-party development finance.
- Update investment and stabilized appraisal models, researching market and operational data to support assumptions.
- Produce quarterly portfolio valuations and analyze market rents, yields, and asset performance across different asset classes.
- Use the asset management model, KPIs, and dashboards to report on portfolio performance.
- Prepare asset memorandums for lenders, new acquisitions, and quarterly reporting.
- Maintain the utilities benchmarking and forecasting model with the Senior Management Accountant.
- Liaise with agents, advisers, and internal teams, and provide ad hoc analysis across the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
