Job Title: Finance Analyst

Location: Frimley
Salary: Circa £40,000 depending on experience

Job Description:

We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our Head Office Finance team. In this role, you will provide financial support across the Head Office Finance, Group Insurable Risk and Legal Compliance teams. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities, analysing financial performance against plan, and supporting effective financial control across a range of Head Office activities. This role offers broad exposure to corporate finance activities and the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the organisation.


Core Duties:

  • Deliver month-end reporting for a portfolio of Head Office entities, including actuals reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and detailed variance analysis.
  • Own and reconcile key balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Manage insurance policy accounting and reporting, ensuring the accurate recognition of accrued income, deferred income, prepayments and accrued costs. Investigate and resolve variances with the Group Insurable Risk team.
  • Manage the Bank Guarantee and consultant recharge process on behalf of the Legal Compliance team, ensuring charges are validated, processed accurately, and recharged to the relevant business units in a compliant and timely manner.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of Ministry of Defence (MoD) reporting requirements.
  • Provide financial insight and analysis to support decision-making across the Head Office Finance, Group Insurable Risk, and Legal Compliance teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, reporting quality, and forecasting accuracy.

Essential Skills:

You will be joining a high-performing team of seven finance professionals, working across a broad and varied portfolio of activities. The role offers unique visibility of Head Office and Corporate operations, with responsibility for supporting Financial Control and Reporting while collaborating with stakeholders across multiple functions to drive business performance and achieve organisational goals.
