The Role

At ONYX, you'll play a key role in shaping how the business plans, forecasts and makes strategic decisions. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Finance Analyst to support critical financial models and analysis, partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to drive insight and performance.

You'll work at the heart of the Finance team, helping to translate complex data into meaningful recommendations while continuing to develop your FP&A expertise in a growing, fast-paced business.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement the ONYX Operating Model, our integrated three-statement model that supports forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning.
  • Deliver insightful Actuals vs Budget/Forecast analysis, providing clear commentary on key business drivers, trends and variances.
  • Produce detailed analysis across revenue, margin and operating costs, identifying opportunities, risks and areas for improvement.
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual planning cycles, ensuring data accuracy and consistency throughout.
  • Enhance financial reporting, modelling and analytical capabilities to support better decision-making across the business.
  • Partner with stakeholders across departments to understand performance, challenge assumptions and provide commercial insight.
  • Help drive strong data governance and financial discipline across systems, reporting and planning processes.

What You Will Bring

  • Experience within Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), ideally with a strong grounding in accounting principles.
  • Newly qualified, part-qualified or actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) would be advantageous.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail and a disciplined approach to data accuracy.
  • Advanced Excel skills, alongside experience working with ERP, CRM and/or HRIS systems.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for leveraging technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and insights.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and regular reporting deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with non-finance colleagues.
  • A proactive mindset and desire to develop into broader FP&A responsibilities as your career progresses.
