Finance Analyst | 9-Month FTC | London (Hybrid)

We're recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join the finance team of a well-established, fast-paced consumer business, reporting into a Finance Manager and business partnering closely with Sales and Marketing.

You'll manage promotional and marketing cost accounting, own budgeting/forecasting for this area, and act as a trusted finance partner to commercial stakeholders - while also helping to introduce AI tools and smarter ways of working across the finance function.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage promotional/marketing cost accounting - accuracy across actuals, budgets and forecasts - similar experience is essential
  • Prepare promotion budgets and forecasts with Sales and Communications teams
  • Partner with budget holders to monitor spend, challenge costs and provide financial insight
  • Manage accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and invoicing queries
  • Build strong relationships with Sales and Marketing; provide commercial insight and clear MI/analysis
  • Identify opportunities to automate finance processes using AI and digital tools (e.g. Gemini, Claude)

What you'll need:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA), ideally with relevant industry experience
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with excellent Excel
  • Track record of reviewing financial workflows and driving process/efficiency improvements
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Commercially minded and adaptable
  • Strong written and verbal communication; confident building relationships across finance and non-finance teams
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring new technology, including AI/automation tools

Contract & location:

  • Full-time, 9-month fixed-term contract, starting early-to-mid September.
  • Based in London with hybrid working.
