Financial Analyst - Operations Finance
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Operations Finance team at William Grant & Sons' Girvan site. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you'll partner with colleagues across Operations and the wider business to provide meaningful financial insight, financial controls and practical support that helps drive performance.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your finance career, gaining exposure to operational reporting, budgeting and forecasting. You'll work closely with stakeholders at all levels, turning financial data into actionable insights that support decision-making, improve efficiency and contribute to the success of our site operations.

Main Responsibilities
- Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and analysis that supports effective decision-making and business performance.
- Develop a strong understanding of operational activities, key performance drivers and risks, translating financial results into clear business insights.
- Prepare, analyse and review monthly financial performance reports, including operational costs, overheads and key performance indicators, ensuring reporting is accurate, timely and informative.
- Deliver robust variance analysis, identifying trends, risks and opportunities while supporting operational teams to understand and address performance drivers.
- Produce financial analysis and modelling to support business cases, investment decisions, cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Support the development and delivery of budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans in line with business objectives and governance requirements.
- Maintain strong financial controls and data integrity, ensuring compliance with company policies, financial standards and statutory obligations.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and data management, helping drive efficiency, consistency, automation and enhanced business insight.
- Contribute to finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Our Ideal Candidate
- Strong analytical skills, good attention to detail and the ability to communicate financial information clearly.
- Ability to build positive working relationships, offering constructive challenge and practical recommendations to help drive performance.
- A continuous improvement mindset to look for opportunities to enhance reporting and processes.
- Experience in finance, reporting, planning or business partnering would be advantageous.
- Motivated by working together with others to support performance, governance and improvement across our Girvan operations.
