About the Role
This role sits within the Commercial finance team & supports the financial performance of Warehouse & Distribution. You’ll report to the Senior Finance Analyst (Distribution) and work closely with the operations teams and Supply Chain stakeholders to provide accurate reporting, analysis and insight that supports decision-making.
📅Here's the exciting bit…A day includes:
- Support month-end processes for Warehouse & Distribution, including cost tracking & reconciliations
- Working with Warehouse, DC and Transport teams to review weekly costs, explain movements and support day-to-day decision-making
- Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting fleet-related accounting and lease reporting, as well as contract spend analysis to help track performance against plan
- Providing ad hoc analysis and insight for senior stakeholders across Supply Chain and Finance, helping the business understand performance and identify opportunities.

This job is a good fit for you if:
- You enjoy working with numbers and solving problems in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- You like to add value through accuracy, curiosity and a willingness to get into the detail.
- You are good at building relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- You can easily manage competing priorities and stay organised when deadlines are tight.
- You have developed the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with a range of stakeholders.
What you’ll need:
- A working knowledge of Excel and be comfortable handling and analysing data.
- Some experience in finance, reporting or analysis, ideally in a commercial or operational environment
- Excellent attention to detail with a can do attitude.
- Strong organisational skills & time management.
- Be working towards a financial professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
- Experience of working with operational stakeholders, contract spend analysis, or lease and fleet-related costs would be helpful, but just as important is the ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively.
