Finance Analyst – GPI
Work Mode: Onsite | Hybrid (3 days in Cheltenham)
£30–£35k salary (dependent on experience) + competitive benefits, including:

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Finance Controller, the Finance Analyst will partner with key stakeholders across Transformative Innovation, Program Management, and HR, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights to drive decisions.
Core responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the monthly forecast and annual planning process.
- Identifying and mitigating financial risks to ensure portfolio alignment with projections.
- Tracking KPIs, analysing variances, and presenting findings to leadership.
- Supporting month-end close, collaborating globally across US, China, and India.
This role thrives in a matrix environment, requiring strong relationship-building skills across functions and regions. Occasional flexibility in working hours may be needed to accommodate multi-time-zone collaboration.
Specific Responsibilities
Business Partnering
- Deliver accurate, timely month-end reporting, explicating results and variances against the Financial Plan & Forecast.
- Provide ad hoc analysis to equip executives with data-driven decision-making tools.
- Partner with Transformative Innovation, Program Management, and HR teams to offer clarity on financial performance and future trajectories.

Key Financial Reporting
- Oversee GPI scorecards, explaining variances and drivers with insightful commentary.
- Prepare executive-level packages (GPI Exec Packs, KLT Financial Pack, Financial Plan Pack) for senior leadership.
- Manage the global consolidation of financial reporting, including cost centre rollups.
BPC Super User Responsibilities
- Ensure robust execution and compliance in the SAP Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC) process.
- Own BPC-related data loads, including the annual Financial Plan and in-year forecasts, guaranteeing timeliness, accuracy, and adherence to governance.
- Train and upskill finance colleagues in best practices for greater consistency and system confidence.
Cross-Functional Contributions
- Collaborate on month-end commentary, ensuring clarity between expectations vs. actual performance across regions.
- Knowledge-sharing initiatives, fostering a best-practice culture in reporting and decision support.
- Support special studies/projects as assigned by the Senior Finance Controller, upholding high integrity and professionalism.

Technical & Industry Requirements
- Proficient in Excel (advanced functionality)
- Microsoft Word & PowerPoint expertise
- Essential: Experience with BPC/SAP
- Qualification:
- AAT Level 4
- OPEN TO: Students studying for CIMA, ACA, or ACCA
Soft Skills
- Analytical mind with exceptional attention to detail
