Finance Analyst - Investment Structures

Goodman Masson are partnering with a leading global private markets investment firm to recruit a Finance Analyst into its specialist Investment Structures team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with up to four years' post-qualified experience to join a growing area of the business and develop specialist expertise across private equity, private credit and complex investment vehicles. The role combines core finance with treasury, investment structures and commercial analysis, offering exposure to an evolving area of private markets.

The team sits at the intersection of finance, investment and structuring, supporting a diverse range of products and working closely with teams across the wider investment platform. As the business continues to develop its investment offering, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to build a strong understanding of how complex private market investments are structured, financed and managed.

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement and would suit someone who is intellectually curious, pragmatic and keen to move beyond traditional accounting. You will join a collaborative, high-performing team where people are encouraged to take ownership, ask questions and develop their understanding of the products they support.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
