Finance Analyst Opportunity at William Grant & Sons UK
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst to join William Grant & Sons UK in the Hook office, suited to either a part-qualified Finance Analyst or a graduate taking the next step in their finance career.
You will provide accurate financial support across day-to-day operations, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver month-end tasks, manage accrual processes, maintain controls and meet key deadlines.
This role suits someone who can take initiative and enjoys building relationships, analysing financial data and turning numbers into clear business insight. It offers an excellent opportunity to develop within a finance environment, with potential study support available for candidates working towards a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA.

Main Responsibilities
- Complete month-end tasks to standard and deadline e.g., posting accruals and reconciling balance sheets
- Responsible for running and owning key controls and checks throughout the month
- Support the Management Accountant with maintenance of our price lists within our system and associated processes, ensuring up to date and accurate information at all times
- Carry out regular activity accrual reviews for customers, ensuring accruals are complete and accurate across the promotion plan, ledger and planning system
- Complete in-depth balance sheet analysis, with the aim of ensuring all accruals are accurate and fully substantiated, releasing any balances not required in a timely manner
- Build strong working relationships with direct team and key stakeholders within the business
- Support with ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as required
Our Ideal Candidate
You may be a graduate starting your finance career or a part-qualified Finance Analyst with proficient Excel skills and a curious, analytical mindset. You will be comfortable working with financial data, turning numbers into clear insights, and communicating confidently with stakeholders. We are looking for someone proactive, adaptable and collaborative, with strong relationship-building skills and a willingness to learn.
