Part-Time Finance & Accounts Manager

£40,000–£50,000 FTE, pro rata | 2–3 days per week | Hybrid

Steadman Brown is a specialist technology recruitment business, and we're looking for an experienced Finance & Accounts Manager to join our internal team and take ownership of our day-to-day finance function.

Founded in 2017, we're an established and growing SME specialising in recruitment across the Salesforce and HubSpot markets.

We're looking for someone who has experience being the person responsible for keeping the finance function of a small business running day to day.

This is a hands-on role. You'll personally manage the core finance activities – from invoicing and credit control through to Xero, payroll preparation, reconciliations and month-end – while providing the Directors with clear visibility of cash and financial performance.

What You'll Own

You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function, including:

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience within recruitment, staffing, consultancy or another professional-services SME would be particularly useful, but isn't essential.

The Role

This is a genuine part-time position, likely around 2–3 days per week.

It's not a full-time finance leadership role squeezed into fewer days. We're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on and wants genuine ownership of a small company's finance function.

We're flexible around how the hours are structured for the right person.

We operate a hybrid working model and would like someone who can spend some of their time working with us in the office.

Salary: £40,000–£50,000 FTE, pro rata depending on experience.
