Role Description
The Finance and AI Product Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Norwich. This role is responsible for owning the end-to-end lifecycle of finance-focused AI products, from concept and requirements gathering through development, testing, and launch. The person in this position will analyze financial data and statements, translate business needs into product features, and work closely with engineering and data teams to design, validate, and refine AI models.

Day-to-day tasks include:

- Supervising product roadmaps
- Prioritizing backlogs
- Preparing financial and performance reports
- Communicating progress and insights to internal and external stakeholders
The role also involves:
- Ensuring regulatory and accounting standards are considered in product design
- Training users
- Continuously monitoring product performance to identify enhancements and new opportunities
Qualifications
- Strong financial and accounting foundation, with skills in Finance and Accounting for interpreting and applying financial principles in product decisions.
- Ability to work with and understand Financial Statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to support analysis and forecasting.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for evaluating data, assessing model outputs, and making evidence-based product and business recommendations.
- Clear and effective Communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical teams, presenting findings, and engaging with stakeholders.
- Experience in product management or product ownership, ideally in financial services, fintech, or AI-driven solutions.
- Familiarity with data science or machine learning concepts and their application to financial use cases, even if not a hands-on developer.
- Proficiency with common analytics and reporting tools (e.g., spreadsheets, BI tools) and comfort working with structured financial data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CFA) are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Norwich, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of outcomes in a fast-evolving environment.
