Wage
£15,600 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices

Term time only
45 weeks per year with annual leave entitlement included.
At 37.5 hrs per week at £8ph. The actual wage is £13,500 per year.
In the 2nd year or completion, the wage will significantly increase.
Training
Course: Business administrator (level 3)
Hours: Term Time only. Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm. 37 hours 30 minutes a week
Start date: Monday 2 November 2026

Work
Main Accountabilities:
General
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people
Finance
- Process purchase orders and invoices on the finance system
- Contact suppliers to place orders and query invoices as required
- Process sales invoices and receipt income
- Other finance duties as required
Administration
- Support the central team in administrative duties, including producing letters, sending emails, booking train tickets etc.
- Other administration duties as required
Operations
- HR administration
- Compliance administration
- Event Management
- Support with the coordination of meeting rooms
- Ensure conference facilities and ready for users
- General office/team support

What you'll learn
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to:
- Write letters or emails
- Create proposals
- Perform financial processes
- Record and analyse data
Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
Produces accurate records and documents including:
- Emails
- Letters
- Files
- Payments
- Reports and proposals
Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work.
Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures.
Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.

You will be supported and mentored at the place of work by skilled colleagues to ensure you learn the required elements for the apprenticeship. A Skills Coach from Hull College will also be on hand to guide you through the apprenticeship ensuring you become a competent employee with regular visits and contact.

Hull College will deliver the apprenticeship standard Business Administrator Level 3.

Essential qualifications
- GCSE in: English (grade A*-C or 4-9)
- Maths (grade A*-C or 4-9)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience.
