Finance & Operations Manager
London | Permanent
We are supporting a rapidly growing international business operating across renewable energy and digital infrastructure with the appointment of a Finance & Operations Manager.
This is fundamentally a hands-on finance position, offering ownership of the day-to-day financial management of the group’s UK and international corporate entities and project SPVs.
The successful candidate will manage the full finance cycle, including management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, payments, reconciliations, and financial controls. You will also coordinate with external accountants and advisers across payroll, VAT, statutory reporting, tax, and compliance.
As part of a small, entrepreneurial, and growing business, the role also includes some wider corporate administration, people administration, and operational support. These responsibilities are limited and ad hoc, but the successful candidate must be comfortable working beyond a narrowly defined finance remit when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
