About our client

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a market-leading private equity investor during an exciting period of growth. As a Senior Finance Associate, you will take ownership of the analytical, financial, and accounting oversight of the firm's secondaries investment funds. Working as a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in leading complex fund activities, mentoring and supporting more junior colleagues, and driving best practice across the finance function. The position offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders across the business, requiring close collaboration with global teams and regular interaction with investment, finance, and operational leadership.

What the job involves

  • Take ownership of the analysis and reporting of portfolio and investor performance across multiple investment vehicles, reviewing the work of junior team members to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Lead the quarterly valuation process for private equity funds, preparing materials for the Valuation Committee and calculating key performance metrics
  • Own the end-to-end production of investor reporting, including quarterly management reports, Advisory Board presentations, and ad hoc requests, acting as the primary finance contact for the Investment Team and Investor Relations across your fund portfolio
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the US and Europe, collaborating with finance, investment, operations, and investor relations teams
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for fund administrator queries while leading the onboarding of new fund entities and ensuring a seamless transition into operational processes
  • Oversee the monitoring and control of fund cash flows at both investor and portfolio company level, ensuring effective liquidity management and operational oversight
  • Review and sign off quarterly financial statements across your fund portfolio, resolving complex accounting issues with fund administrators and escalating policy matters where appropriate
  • Take responsibility for debt facilities, interest payment processes, and lender reporting, with a strong understanding of the impact of leverage on fund performance
  • Lead and contribute to strategic finance initiatives, driving process improvements, enhancing controls, and mentoring junior team members to support their professional development
  • Monitor legal, regulatory, and industry developments affecting the fund-of-funds environment, ensuring compliance and best practice
  • Champion data integrity by developing reporting dashboards, improving management information, and delivering automation initiatives that enhance efficiency and decision-making across the finance function

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
