Work
Join our Finance team as an Apprentice Revenue Controller and gain hands-on experience while studying towards a Business Administration apprenticeship. You'll support billing, timesheets and financial processes, develop valuable business skills and build a strong foundation for a rewarding career in finance and administration.
What you'll do at work
- Supporting the set-up and maintenance of project and client information within our finance systems.
- Assisting with billing processes, including preparing invoices and checking financial information for accuracy.
- Monitoring timesheets and supporting colleagues to ensure information is recorded correctly and on time.
- Helping maintain accurate financial records and supporting the production of reports.
- Managing queries received by the Revenue Team and providing administrative support to colleagues across the business.
- Building relationships with teams throughout Bidwells and learning how finance supports the wider organisation.
- Assisting with wider finance projects and process improvements as your skills and confidence develop.

What you'll learn
- Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
- Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
- Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
- Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals.
- Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
- Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work.
- Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures.
- Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
- Exercises proactivity and good judgement.
- Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way.
- Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation.
- Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately.

Essential qualifications
- GCSE in: English & Maths (grade 5/C or above (or equivalent))
- A Level in: Any (grade B, B, C or above (or equiv))

You will also be given adequate time to conduct independent study. Full on the job training and support will be provided and we will also support you through your APC to ensure you become a fully qualified Surveyor!
