Who are Coolr?

We’re an independent social media agency and team of creatives, social experts, content publishers and change makers. Completely wired into popular culture, our work connects brands with their audiences at scale. With clients such as Burger King, Lidl, Deliveroo and Compare the Market (to name drop a few) our aim is to be the biggest social agency in the world.

The agency is growing at a rapid rate, but we’re only just getting started. In 2026, we have ambitious plans to truly become the stand-out social agency in the UK, the US, and beyond. We have a strong platform for growth and have made great strides forward – now we really want to take things to the next level.

About the role:

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team on a maternity cover contract from October, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

This is a varied, hands on role with responsibility for the day-to-day finance operations of our UK business, including accounts payable, credit control, payment runs and reconciliations. The role will also provide exposure to month-end reporting, with ownership of balance sheet reconciliations for our US subsidiary. There will also be opportunities to support revenue forecasting and wider finance projects, making this a great 360 role for someone looking to broaden their experience and develop their career in finance.

The job 💻

  • Completing daily bank reconciliations
  • Processing and coding supplier invoices and setting up new suppliers in Xero
  • Producing weekly debtor reports, chasing outstanding balances and escalating issues where appropriate
  • Preparing weekly supplier payment runs
  • Completing monthly credit card and Pleo reconciliations, including collecting receipts and ensuring costs are coded correctly
  • Producing the monthly open purchase order reconciliation report
  • Monitoring the accounts inbox and responding to finance queries
  • Maintaining the freelancer tracker and ensuring records are complete and up to date
  • Managing employee access and approval routing across Pleo and ApprovalMax
  • Sending weekly timesheet reminders and supporting timesheet compliance
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register and preparing journals as instructed
  • Taking ownership of selected balance sheet reconciliations for our US subsidiary, while supporting month-end reporting, revenue forecasting and wider finance projects

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
