About the role
You’ll be based in our Finance Department in Bury St Edmunds, working as part of the Finance Team as a Finance Assistant.

Excellent communication skills are essential as you will also be the first point of contact for any finance related queries, internally and externally – this could be via the phone/email/messaging system.

Administer the companies Debit Card platform.
- You will evaluate, record and process debit card transactions.
- You will utilise multiple spreadsheets to efficiently and accurately record and analyse company spend, in line with company policy, following the required process from start to finish, meeting all company and HMRC requirements.
- Working with the debit card platform you will need to have a keen eye for detail to assess debit card transactions.
- You will make sure that transactions are in line with company budgets and spending restrictions, keeping detailed records.
- You will ensure employees have completed all the necessary company requirements in relation to their debit card transactions, using various methods of communication to ensure that the correct procedures have been adhered to for each transaction.

- You will also be required to assist with numerous other finance administration tasks as required.
The person we’re looking for
We're looking for a detail-driven Finance Assistant to join a vibrant Finance team.
You'll play a key role in keeping the financial processes accurate and running smoothly. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys precision work, and is confident handling conversations about finance.
You’ll be someone who has excellent analytical skills, as well as attention to detail, to make sure that debit card spend is accurately recorded and monitored.

Experience
Due to the nature and responsibility of the role, applicants must have a minimum of two years’ experience in finance and be proficient in Excel.
