Finance Assistant Positions Available!
Our client is seeking three motivated and detail-oriented Temporary Finance Assistants to join their dynamic Accounts Receivable team for a six-month contract. With an exciting increase in workload following a recent project go-live, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a thriving environment.
Positions Available
- 2 x Invoicing Finance Assistants
- 1 x Payments Finance Assistant
Daily Rate: £120.00 Umbrella
Contract Length: 6 months
Working Pattern: Full Time
Location: Plymouth (Fully onsite for the first 3 months; hybrid arrangement after)
Role Overview
These roles will be pivotal in assisting with day-to-day transactional processing and administrative activities. Successful candidates will ensure that payments, invoicing activities, and customer inquiries are handled with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Payments Finance Assistant:
- Support day-to-day processing of BACS payments.
- Assist with payment allocations and customer refunds.
- Process customer card payments over the phone.
- Respond to payment-related inquiries and handle routine customer calls.

- Raise and issue invoices and credit notes using finance systems.
- Process customer refunds and maintain accurate account information.
- Respond to routine invoicing inquiries and support month-end activities.
General Administration
- Manage incoming and outgoing post.
- Monitor shared mailboxes and provide administrative support.
- Ensure compliance with established procedures and data protection requirements.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidates will possess:
- Previous experience in finance administration, transactional finance processing, or high-volume administrative roles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Confidence in handling routine customer inquiries.
Systems & Technical Skills
- Basic proficiency in Excel is required, including formulas, sums, and VLOOKUPs.
- Familiarity with finance systems
