We have a new opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our Belfast team and take ownership of day-to-day transactional finance activities. This is a fantastic role for someone looking to develop their career in a dynamic, fast-growing listed business.
The role is based in our Belfast city centre office, with flexibility for hybrid working.
What you’ll be doing
- Process and match purchase invoices (approximately 50 per month) and ensure suppliers are paid within agreed terms
- Raise sales invoices and support the cash collection process
- Perform daily bank reconciliations across all Group entities
- Manage treasury activities, reconciling approximately 60 transactions per month and preparing weekly cash position reports
- Assist with the preparation of monthly accruals, prepayments and allocation entries
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
- Support the Purchase Order process, working with budget holders across the business
- Assist with statutory reporting by providing supporting schedules when requested

What we’re looking for
We would expect candidates for this role to meet most or all of the following criteria:
- Previous experience in a transactional finance role (AP, AR or treasury)
- Studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA or CIMA) is advantageous
- Good working knowledge of accounting systems; NetSuite experience is a plus
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to support the wider team
- A track record of success in academic and professional achievements
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
- The right to work in the UK without visa restrictions is essential.
