We’re now looking for a Finance Assistant to join our incredible team on a part-time contract.

  • Process and accurately record supplier invoices in Xero
  • Ensure invoices are correctly coded and authorised
  • Manage the accounts payable inbox and respond to supplier queries
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure payments are made on time

Additional finance support

  • Assist the Finance Director with ad hoc finance administration when required
  • Provide support with month-end accounts where needed

About you

We are looking for someone who is experienced, organised, and able to work independently. You will ideally have:

  • 3-5+ years' experience in a finance, bookkeeping, or accounts role
  • Strong practical experience using Xero
  • Good understanding of purchase ledger and supplier payments
  • Experience supporting month-end accounts
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and investigate them rather than simply flagging them
  • Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers and colleagues

  • Hours: 8-10 hours per week
  • Working pattern: Flexible; ideally spread across 2 days
  • Location: Hybrid
  • Reporting to: Finance Director
