Please click here to find out more about our visions and values. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Finance Assistant to join our team. This is a vital role integral to the smooth running of the school. You will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the ethos, aims and values of the school.
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children they come into contact with.
- Working under general instruction and guidance, handling a range of administrative processes and tasks that are covered by established procedures, but prioritises own workload.
- Inputting/retrieving information on financial packages using initiative where necessary.
- Provides administrative support to the Wraparound service as operated by the school.

Your qualities will include
- Educated to at least GCSE/GCE O level /CSE grade 1, in literacy and numeracy to be able to write letters, take minutes, maintain budget records, work with databases.
- Previous knowledge of accounting software such as Access.
- Previous experience (or formal training and experience).
- Can use initiative, within recognised procedures. Can deal with unexpected problems/situations, though has access to Head for advice on unusual or difficult problems.
- Displaying commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.

As this role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check with a Barred List check. Our pre-employment process will also include Teacher Prohibition List checks, overseas checks (where applicable); proof of qualifications (as specified in the person specification); section 128 checks (for those in management roles); medical fitness checks; identity and right to work checks. Applicants for roles working with children under five years during the school day and under eight years for those working in wraparound care will also be subject to Childcare Disqualification checks.
