Finance & Customer Service Executive

up to £35k

Remote (1 day a month in London)

Experience with Xero is essential

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to join a growing events and media business. This role will have responsibilities across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. You will play an important role across day-to-day finance administration, customer service and general business operations. Working closely with the Finance Director and Finance Manager, you will gain broad exposure to the finance cycle, from invoicing and accounts payable through to banking, reconciliations and customer queries.

This role would suit someone with experience in transactional finance or bookkeeping who enjoys working across different areas of a business and is confident dealing directly with customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raise and process customer and supplier invoices
  • Manage accounts receivable and follow up overdue payments
  • Process supplier and contributor payments
  • Ensure transactions are correctly coded and approved
  • Complete bank, card and payment platform reconciliations
  • Allocate customer receipts and supplier payments
  • Respond to customer and supplier queries professionally
  • Monitor outstanding invoices and resolve payment issues
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Support general business and office administration

Candidate Specification:

  • Previous experience in finance, bookkeeping or finance administration
  • Experience using Xero
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
  • Confident communicating with customers and suppliers
  • Able to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Comfortable learning new systems and software
  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment
