Summary
Keltbray is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing Finance team. This role will provide day-to-day support across a variety of finance functions, helping to ensure financial information is processed accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with both internal stakeholders and external contacts while gaining valuable exposure to a broad range of accounting activities and professional development opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Update cash books and post transactions to the accounting system
- Prepare and maintain intercompany reconciliations
- Update fixed asset and prepayment schedules
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations
- Perform cost ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Prepare and post month-end journals
- Process supplier invoices and support payment runs
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice queries
- Support credit control activities, including following up outstanding debtors
- Assist with the preparation and posting of weekly payroll journals
- Support month-end and year-end finance processes
- Provide general administrative and ad hoc support to the wider Finance team as required

Requirements
- Good academic background with a desire to pursue accountancy qualifications
- Previous experience within an accounts or finance administration role is desirable, although candidates with limited experience and a strong willingness to learn will also be considered
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Well-organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Proactive with a positive and flexible approach to work
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable communicating with colleagues, suppliers, and clients via phone and email
- Conscientious, reliable, and eager to develop within a finance career
- Willingness to support the wider team with ad hoc tasks when required
