Salary: £31k - £33k DOE
Fire and Security Systems Experts
Our Client, Lee Fire & Security Ltd is a flagship company within the New Path Fire & Security Ltd group of companies. For the last 43 years, they have been keeping businesses and homes nationwide safe from fire, theft and intrusion, offering a wide range of fire and security products to suit a variety of their customer’s needs.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a commercially minded and ambitious Finance Assistant to assist the Managing Director in supporting the business in its growth.
Finance Assistant, the role:
- Working alongside the Director of Finance to develop the finance function, improving management information reporting
- Overseeing Accounts Payable using advanced AI character recognition technology
- Conducting weekly bank reconciliations and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensuring accurate posting and management of expense creditors/accounts payable
- Reconciling intercompany accounts and generate sales invoices
- Credit Control – following up on overdue sales invoices
- Managing petty cash and staff expenses
- Assisting with general accounting tasks and month-end reporting
- Investigating budget vs. actual variances
- Supporting the Finance team with ad hoc cost & revenue analysis projects

Finance Assistant, the person:
- AAT Level 3 or 4 qualifications required or equivalent experience
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with good technical accounting skills
- Experience with accounting software (preferably Xero)
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical confidence
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Capable of working independently and under pressure
- Tech-savvy, ideally with experience in credit control tasks
- Strong people skills and be able to build effective relationships quickly
