Job Role: Finance Assistant
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 - 35 hours per week
Salary: £24,546.32-£26,188.82, dependant on experience
Location: Carlton House, Chester Business Park, Chester, CH4 9QE
Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join our Anchor Group Services’ Finance team at our Headquarters in Chester Business Park! The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting our Accounts functions.
This is an exciting opportunity to enhance your career in Finance and join a highly motivated team. Further professional development training will be provided leading to the achievement of an AAT qualification.
Responsibilities
- Coding and Inputting Invoices into Sage through Yooz
- Overseeing and Maintaining Purchase Ledgers
- Generating Sale Invoices
- Verifying Bank Transactions
- Managing Accounts Inbox
- Establishing New Customer and Supplier Accounts
- Recording Bank Receipts and Payments
- Processing Supplier Payments
- Verifying Supplier Statements
- Handling Finance Correspondence
- Assisting in Office and Finance Department Operations
- PO Processing
- Supplier Invoice Queries

Requirements
- Level 2 AAT qualified or equivalent.
- At least 2 years finance experience or equivalent.
- Proficiency in various finance tasks, including bank transactions, and nominal ledger reconciliations.
- Excellent organisational skills with an ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload.
- Good attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
- Excellent written English, strong email communication skills.
- Calm and resourceful with the ability to respond effectively and positively to pressure.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, and ever-changing environment.
- Team player with a professional, flexible, and positive approach to work.
