About the role
Join our Finance Shared Services team and play a key role in ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time, helping to keep our garage operations running smoothly. You'll be responsible for processing invoices, resolving supplier and payment queries, reconciling accounts, and building strong relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
This is a fast-paced role suited to someone with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and previous Accounts Payable experience. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while developing your finance knowledge within a supportive and evolving team environment.

At Halfords, we operate a hybrid working policy with 2 days on site at our Support Centre in Redditch.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, resolving invoice, payment, and purchase order queries efficiently.
- Reconcile supplier accounts, investigate discrepancies and historic balances, and support audit requirements where needed.
- Support operational teams with invoice matching and reporting, helping to improve compliance and resolve issues across the garage network.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help drive best practice within the Finance Shared Services team.
About you
- Previous experience in a Financial or Accounts Payable role – Advantageous, not essential
- Strong time management skills with a “get up and go” attitude towards problem solving and working to deadlines
- SAP knowledge is advantageous, but not essential
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (Mostly Excel, SharePoint & Teams)
- Strong communication skill- especially with key stakeholders both in person and telephone
