About the Role
The Finance Assistant will support the Finance Team by ensuring the accurate management, control, and reporting of key balance sheet areas, including fixed assets, loans, grants, and other financial records.
The Finance Assistant will maintain robust financial controls, perform timely and accurate reconciliations, and support the delivery of reliable financial information to aid decision-making across the organisation. The postholder will contribute to the preparation of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, treasury activities, statutory reporting, and audit requirements, helping to ensure the organisation's financial integrity, compliance, and long-term financial sustainability.
About You
You will be part of our Finance Team reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant but will have daily contact with other team members. You will establish strong links with managers and colleagues to ensure the service we provide demonstrates value to others.

Working closely with budget holders, procurement teams, and other stakeholders, the postholder will provide timely financial information and analysis to support effective decision-making, financial planning, and expenditure control. In addition, the Finance Assistant will contribute to the smooth operation of the wider finance function by delivering high-quality financial administration, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting month-end, year-end, and audit activities.
