We’re hiring: Finance Assistant / Trainee Accountant
📍 Twickenham - office based 5 days a week
💷 £28,000–£30,000 depending on experience
📚 Professional study support – worth approx. £12,000
Are you looking to build a long-term career in finance and become a qualified accountant?
RVT is looking for an ambitious Finance Assistant / Trainee Accountant to join our growing team.
This is a development-focused role, ideal for someone at the beginning of their finance career who wants to gain hands-on accounting experience while studying towards a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
You'll work closely with our Financial Controller and develop from core finance operations into management accounting, financial analysis and commercial finance.

What you'll be doing
Initially, you'll gain experience across:
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- Supplier invoices and expenses
- Finance administration and accounting systems
- Excel and financial data
As your experience and studies progress, you'll move into:
- Month-end accounting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Accruals, prepayments and journals
- Management reporting
- Budget vs actual analysis
- Cash flow forecasting
- Financial modelling and commercial finance projects
We'll invest in your development
RVT will provide professional qualification sponsorship, study support, study leave and mentoring from our Financial Controller.
There's also a clear career pathway: Finance Assistant → Assistant Accountant → Part-Qualified Accountant → Qualified Accountant

Who are we looking for?
You don't need to be an experienced accountant. We're interested in someone with strong numerical and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and a genuine ambition to develop a career in finance. You might be a graduate, studying AAT, already working in a junior finance role, or looking to take your first step into accountancy.
A degree is not essential.
