Finance Assistant | Events & Creative Industry
£30,000 to £35,000 | Office based with Fridays WFH
I am working with a growing business in the events and creative space who are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team.
This is not just a transactional finance role. You’ll sit close to the production team, Finance Director and founders, supporting the financial side of live projects and helping make sure suppliers, clients and internal teams have what they need, when they need it.
The role covers:
- Day-to-day accounts payable and invoice processing through QuickBooks
- Preparing payment runs, including foreign currency payments
- Processing credit card transactions across PLEO, Barclaycard and AMEX
- Allocating client receipts and helping resolve payment issues
- Processing intercompany transactions with the US finance team
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Working with finance and production to improve processes as the business grows

You will likely have:
- Experience in a finance/accounts role, ideally within events, creative, branding, marketing, design or an agency environment
- Strong attention to detail and a genuinely organised way of working
- The confidence to communicate with different teams and build trusted relationships
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- A proactive approach and the ability to prioritise when things get busy
- An understanding of the pace that comes with client-led, project-based work

There is a good development story here too. They are looking for someone who can grow with the business, with a progression route towards a Project/Production Accountant position rather than this remaining a Finance Assistant role indefinitely.
The package is £30,000–£35,000, private medical, pension matching and 22 days’ holiday increasing with service. The role is predominantly office based, with the option to work from home on Fridays.
