Role: Finance Assistant

Permanent: Hybrid 3 days working in the office (M/T/TH), 2 days from home
Salary: £29,500 plus study support

VisionFR is delighted to be seeking a Finance Assistant on behalf of our client, an exceptional leading international communications agency. They are a vibrant agency and love what they do.
This is a terrific opportunity for a Finance Assistant covering both Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger and looking to further their knowledge and grow in a highly creative environment as part of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities – Finance Assistant
Accounts Payable
- Process and arrange payment of supplier invoices.
- Accurately code invoices to the appropriate projects and nominal accounts.
- Deal with internal queries relating to purchases and payments.
- Respond to supplier queries and maintain positive working relationships.
- Set up and maintain supplier accounts in line with company procedures.
- Reconcile supplier accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
- Assist with improving and streamlining accounts payable processes.
- Manage company credit card transactions and reconciliations.
- Process and reconcile employee expenses.

Accounts Receivable & General Finance
- Record incoming payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with credit control and debtor reporting.
- Complete regular bank, payroll-related and intercompany reconciliations.
- Process intercompany transactions, fixed assets and recharge entries.
- Maintain accurate records relating to trade debtors and creditors.
- Support the finance team with audit requirements.
- Deal with internal finance queries and build strong relationships across the business.
- Maintain employee financial records and related information.
- Assist with system training and support.
- Produce ad hoc reports and provide general support to the wider finance team.
Key Skills & Requirements of the Finance Assistant
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related subject.
- Good understanding of core accounting and finance principles.
- Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach.
- Able to work accurately to deadlines in a busy environment.
- Good Excel skills, including functions such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF.
- Well organised with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Currently studying towards ACCA or CIMA, or keen to pursue a professional accounting qualification.
