Contract: 1 Permanent; Full time position, 35 hours per week
Location: National Centre, 69 North Gyle Terrace, Edinburgh
We have an exciting opportunity to join Alzheimer Scotland as a finance assistant supporting our transactional fundraising operations.
Who We Are
Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. Our aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, we campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research.
What You’ll Do
This is a finance assistant role with a difference. Whilst there will be some support of the traditional transactional finance elements the role will have a primary focus on recording and report on voluntary income. Our voluntary income is in excess of £4million per year and high volume across a substantial portfolio of platforms. The role will be key to supporting donors across a variety of methods including phone and face to face; therefore, strong customer service skills are vital alongside previous finance administration experience.

What You’ll Have
We are seeking applications from individuals with demonstrable high-volume administration/database work experience within a complex organisation and who possess the skills to take on the tasks outlined in the job description.
- You will be a strong communicator both verbally and written and able to balance competing priorities and deadlines.
- You will have practical experience of working with a wide range of office systems including Microsoft 365 and databases or financial systems.
