About the role
Are you ready to make an impact in the Recycle loop at Reconomy as our next Finance Assistant in the Treasury team?
Join a forward-thinking environment where your attention to detail and financial acumen will help shape how we manage and optimise our cash flow. Reporting to the Finance Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our cash is accurately forecasted, allocated, and aligned.
Day to day duties will include:
- Process incoming payments by accurately applying daily cash receipts to customer accounts and sales ledgers.
- Reconcile bank transactions against internal financial records to ensure consistency and accuracy across ledgers.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, including issues related to overpayments, underpayments, and unallocated funds.
- Collaborate with credit control teams to escalate queries and facilitate prompt resolution.
- Follow up on outstanding remittances from clients to support timely and accurate cash allocation.
Additional job information:
- Full-time position (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday.
- You will need to live within a commutable distance to travel to our Telford office.
What we need from you
- Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with financial systems and tools.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills to handle complex payment scenarios.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear and confident communication skills for effective coordination across teams.
- A highly organised and efficient approach to managing daily tasks.
