Accounts Assistant
Environmental Consultancy
Salary £30,000 | Permanent
Full-time | Site-based | London
An established and growing environmental consultancy is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join its Finance Team, based in London, close to Farringdon.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone at the early stage of their finance career who is keen to gain broad accounting experience, develop their skills and work towards a professional qualification.
Overview
Reporting to the Assistant Management Accountant, you will gain exposure to a wide range of finance activities, including:
- Credit control, debt chasing and cash allocations
- Bank reconciliations and month-end support
- Supplier and client statement reviews
- Supplier invoices, prepayments, accruals and fixed assets
- Client onboarding and risk assessments
- Finance queries and mailbox management
- Monthly reports and statements
- Data entry, validation and supporting an ERP system migration

About You
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who is keen to learn and develop.
You will be:
- Well organised, accurate and detail-focused
- Comfortable working with numbers and data
- A good team player with a collaborative approach
- Confident using IT, particularly Excel
- Interested in developing Excel skills including Pivot Tables and Lookups
- Able to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Discreet and able to handle confidential information with integrity
- A degree or other higher education qualification is desirable, ideally in Accounting, Finance
