Finance Support Assistant (Remote, Part-Time) – £15–£18 per Hour + Training Provided

Finance Administration | Accounts Assistant | Bookkeeping | Business Support

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a detail-oriented Finance Support Assistant to join their growing finance team on a part-time remote basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in Finance Administration, Accounts, Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Data Administration, or for graduates and career changers looking to build a career in finance. Full training will be provided.

As a Finance Support Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day finance function by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, assisting with reconciliations, and ensuring financial information is managed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, payments, and financial transactions.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and update accounting systems.
  • Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and finance documentation.
  • Support month-end finance activities.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team.

What We're Looking For

  • Good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience as a Finance Support Assistant, Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Administrator, Bookkeeper, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Payable Assistant, Accounts Receivable Assistant, or Finance Administrator is beneficial but not essential.
  • Full training will be provided.
