The Role
Our finance team is growing with the business, and we're looking for a Finance Assistant to join us. It's a genuine first step into finance: you'll work across four international territories (UK, Germany, US and Spain), see how a scale-up finance function actually operates, and take real ownership from early on.
You'll be the engine room of our day-to-day finance operations — payables, cash, expenses and collections — while also getting involved in the reporting and analysis work that sits behind it. We'll teach you the systems and the technical detail; what we're looking for is someone who's accurate, curious and happy to ask why something is done the way it is.

We support professional study (ACCA) after successful completion of probation, and this role is designed as a platform to build from - our last Finance Assistant has just been promoted within the team.
This is a key role within the finance team and will report into our Financial Controller.
Responsibilities
- Manage the global accounts inbox, ensuring emails are prioritised, actioned and responded to promptly
- Act as a first point of contact for ad hoc finance queries from across the business
- Process supplier invoices and manage payment runs across our UK, German, US and Spanish entities
- Credit card and expense management
- Administer our virtual credit card platform
- Support employee expense processing and payment
- Support cash and banking, including daily bank postings and bank reconciliations
- Credit control: chase outstanding customer balances and maintain a clear, current aged debt position
- Allocate customer receipts accurately and keep the sales ledger clean
- Support the team with data collection and processing for ad hoc projects
Skills
- Strong written and spoken communication in English, with the confidence to deal with people across the business and in other countries
- Proactive and hands-on — you take ownership of a task and see it through
- High attention to detail and comfort working with numbers
- A genuine desire to learn, with the curiosity to understand the "why" behind a process
- Well organised, able to juggle competing deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team

Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a closely related subject
- Solid working knowledge of MS Office and G-Suite, particularly Excel/Sheets
- Experience with an accounting system (NetSuite, Xero, Sage or similar) is a bonus, but not a requirement — full training will be given on our systems (we use NetSuite)
