We are seeking an adaptable and proactive Finance Associate to join our fast-paced internal finance team in London.
Negotiable salary, depending on experience
Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 from home
The Role
Freelance Operations & Compliance
- Manage the onboarding process for freelance candidates, ensuring compliance checks, IR35 documentation, and contract setups are completed accurately via our automatic systems.
- Oversee the end-to-end processing of freelance timesheets, purchases, and candidate payments.
- Assist with Gross Profit (GP) calculations, verifying client margins, and ensuring precise financial data tracking across our placement pipelines.

Month-End & Ledger Management
- Balance sheet, expenditure and bank reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable invoices, ledger and payment runs.
- Support month-end close processes, preparing journal entries and schedules to assist the wider management finance team.
Process Automation & Improvement
- Review historical finance workflows to identify time saves.
- Work closely with the team to continuously automate tasks and fully leverage our newly integrated recruitment tech stack.
The Candidate
- Recruitment Sector Background: Crucial experience working within a recruitment or staffing agency environment, with an understanding of temp/freelance contractor workflows.
- Excel Skills: Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills (comfortable working with formulas, lookups, data sorting, and formatting).
- Adaptable Technical Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities with an excellent eye for detail.
- Direct hands-on experience using Bullhorn or Iplicit: (Desirable, not essential).
